Berlin heißt die dritte Station von PARTIZAN★KE ART willkommen, einer reisenden, forschungsbasierten Ausstellung über Ästhetiken und Praxen weiblichen Widerstands während und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in Jugoslawien und Kärnten. Präsentiert vom Partizan★ke Art-Kollektiv, wird die Ausstellung am 27. Mai 2025 im Institut für Europäische Ethnologie der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Amo Collective Berlin, Ambasada und der progressiven Medienplattform Sve su to vještice gezeigt.

Mithilfe von visuellen, archivarischen und performativen Materialien rückt PARTIZAN★KE ART die Rolle der Partisan*innen und ihr kulturelles Erbe im europäischen antifaschistischen Kampf ins Zentrum. Die Ausstellung verbindet persönliche Biografien mit aktuellen künstlerischen Praxen.

Das  Partizan★ke Art kuratorische Kollektiv  — Elena Messner, Brigita Malenica, Julia Stolba, Sabina Ferhadbegović und Goran Lazičić — bringt Stimmen aus Kunst, Forschung und Aktivismus zusammen, um eine oft übersehene Geschichte sichtbar zu machen. Die Berliner Station integriert zudem Beiträge zahlreicher Wissenschaftlerinnen, Künstlerinnen und Institutionen und zeigt die Kraft feministischer Kollektivität in der Erinnerungskultur.

Im Rahmen des Eröffnungsprogramms spricht Elena Messner zum Thema:
 „Solidarität und Kollektivität als zentrale Werte feministischer Selbstbildung, Selbstverortung und Selbstermächtigung in Jugoslawien im Zweiten Weltkrieg“
 — Teil des Institutskolloquiums „Collaborations and Solidarities in Troubled Times“ des Instituts.

Die Ausstellung ist bis zum 18. Juli 2025 während der regulären Öffnungszeiten des Instituts öffentlich zugänglich.

Berlin welcomes the third station of PARTIZAN★KE ART, a travelling, research-based exhibition exploring the aesthetics and practices of women’s resistance during and after World War II in Yugoslavia and Carinthia. Presented by the Partizan★ke Art Collective, the exhibition opens on 27 May 2025 at the Amo Salon and Amo Gallery, hosted by the Institute for European Ethnology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, in collaboration with Amo Collective Berlin and the progressive media platform Sve su to vještice, with the support of Ambasada.

Through visual, archival, and performative material, PARTIZAN★KE ART centers the role of women partisans and their pivotal cultural legacy in the European anti-fascist movement. Drawing on personal biographies, the exhibition connects historical acts of resistance to contemporary artistic practices.

The curatorial collective — Elena Messner, Brigita Malenica, Julia Stolba, Sabina Ferhadbegović, and Goran Lazičić — brings together voices from art, research, and activism to spotlight a history often overlooked. The Berlin station also features contributions from a wide range of scholars, artists, and institutions, affirming the power of feminist collectivity in shaping cultural memory.

As part of the opening program, Elena Messner will give a talk titled:
 “Solidarity and Collectivity as Key Values of Feminist Self-Education, Self-Narration and Self-Mobilization in Yugoslavia during World War II”
 — part of IfEE’s Institute Colloquium “Collaborations and Solidarities in Troubled Times”. 

The exhibition is open to the public during the Institute’s regular hours until 18 July 2025.
